Kappa Delta Foundation Selects 2025-2026 KiDs Grants

Memphis, Tenn. June 22, 2025: The Kappa Delta Foundation awarded $25,000 in KiDs Grants to support projects that improve the lives of children and families in need. These grants empower individual alumnae and alumnae chapters to partner with local nonprofit organizations to deliver impactful, prevention-focused programs—from providing basic necessities to enhancing educational opportunities and access to critical services. Applicants are encouraged to work with collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters or other sisters to extend the reach and effectiveness of their efforts.

“The Kappa Delta Foundation is honored to support this year’s KiDs Grant recipients, whose inspiring work uplifts and empowers children across the country,” says Kappa Delta Foundation board chair Michelle Rabideau. “From providing comfort to children in foster care to expanding access to STEM education and mental health services, these initiatives reflect Kappa Delta’s commitment to building confidence. We are proud to stand beside our alumnae as they lead meaningful change in partnership with outstanding local organizations.”

The 2025-2026 KiDs Grant recipients and their projects are:

  • Cara Finger, Alpha Chi-Louisiana Tech, on behalf of My Bag My Story to provide high-quality duffel bags and backpacks for foster children so they no longer have to carry their belongings in trash bags.
  • Denise Walton, Zeta Beta-Union, on behalf of Regional Inter-Faith Association to support their Snack Backpack Program, which provides nutritious, easy-to-prepare, kid-friendly meals and snacks to elementary school children who would otherwise have little or no food over the weekend.
  • Greater Atlanta Day Alumnae Chapter on behalf of Wellspring Living to support the enhancement of their Augmented Reality & Virtual Reality Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) Education Project to deepen engagement and learning opportunities for youth participants.
  • Long Beach, California, Alumnae Chapter on behalf of His Little Feet to provide new shoes for under-privileged youth in Long Beach and North Orange County, California.
  • Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Alumnae Chapter on behalf of Kids Hub Child Advocacy Center to support creation of a new office space that will offer additional forensic interview rooms for prompt assessments, accommodate more in-house mental health clinicians, and the potential to co-locate with a forensic medical provider.
