Each year, the foundation selects KD collegians to support at the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), an event that brings together sorority and fraternity members to challenge conventional wisdom, discover new solutions to critical problems and accelerate progress in their fraternity/sorority communities. Each summer, the KD Foundation offers internships for collegiate sisters at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. With direction from acclaimed orthopaedic researchers, interns work on a research project, participate in research data conferences, attend training conferences, and journal club. In honor of one of our most notable alumnae, the KD Foundation provides funding for two collegiate sisters to serve as paid summer interns for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum Art and Leadership Program in Santa Fe, New Mexico. KiDs Grants offer individual alumnae and alumnae chapters an opportunity to partner with their local nonprofit agencies to make a difference. Each year, $25,000 is available for projects that have a direct, positive effect on families and children, with a maximum of $10,000 available for a single recipient.
