When Hallee Sullivan, director of social media and marketing for Beta Zeta–South Carolina, returned home from Kappa Delta’s EMPOWER Recruitment & Marketing Academy, she described herself as “way more confident!”

For the first time since its 2024 launch, EMPOWER was held over two transformative weekends in February, bringing together more than 500 sisters from 164 chapters. Thanks to donor support, attendees participated in high-impact facilitation training led by dynamic leadership speaker Erin Fischer, who challenged them to communicate with clarity, step confidently to the front of the room and adapt their message to inspire others.

The impact is clear. 

• 92% of attendees said they feel extremely or very confident implementing what they learned. 

• 96% left with an actionable strategy to strengthen recruitment and marketing efforts in their chapters. 

Hallee was especially moved by the reminder that confidence grows in community — and by the call to be “a peacock”: proud, bold and unapologetic about being a Kappa Delta. She returned to her chapter eager to help every sister feel empowered to “take up space” and share the best of who they are during recruitment.
