Are you ready for it?
On Feb. 23-25, 2024, Kappa Delta is hosting the EMPOWER Recruitment & Marketing Academy for a select group of chapters. This is a pilot program and a new in-person opportunity combining personalized recruitment training and coaching with dynamic, hands-on marketing workshops. For this experience, we’ll bring together each invited chapter’s VP-R&M, Director of Social Media & Marketing and CAB-R&M (or the CAB member who works most closely with recruitment) to share in this elevated training, providing benefits for this year and beyond.
We’re introducing this pilot Academy because we’ve heard from you that more, concentrated, dynamic, in-person training is needed!
We’ve invited your chapter’s recruitment leaders to attend this pilot program because we see your potential to continue to enhance the chapter’s recruitment excellence in its Panhellenic community. We’re also bringing together chapters with recruitments similar in size and scope, so it will provide a great networking opportunity for leaders to connect. We want you to be able to share your successes with other chapter leaders and volunteers that could benefit from hearing what your chapter does.
We can’t wait to share this experience with you! At EMPOWER, we’ll dive into:
For this pilot year, we believe it’s critical that the VP-R&M, Director of Social Media and Marketing and CAB-R&M (or the CAB member who works most closely with recruitment) from each chapter all attend to ensure a consistent knowledge base and shared experience.
EMPOWER Registration closed Jan. 8. If you have any questions or need assistance, please reach out to events@kappadelta.org.create new email
Friday, Feb. 23 through Sunday, Feb. 25
Dallas, Texas as the Hilton Dallas Lincoln Centre at 5410 Lyndon B Johnson Fwy, Dallas, TX, 75240
We are asking that each chapter bring its new VP R&M, CAB R&M (or the CAB member who works most closely with recruitment) and Director of Social Media & Marketing.
The per-person registration is $450.
1. Air Travel: Two airports in the Dallas area are located within proximity to the EMPOWER hotel.
Airfare prices are surging due to increased demand, fuel costs, and airlines having less capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. To mitigate increased travel costs and uncertainties while traveling, book airfare by Jan. 15. KDHQ will email to ask for your travel plans at that time.
Note: National Volunteers not in a CAB role with a chapter are required to book all travel through the Concur platform per the National Volunteer Travel & Expense Policy.
2. Parking & Ground Transportation
For those driving or renting a car, parking is available at the hotel for a discounted group rate of $10 per day, plus applicable taxes and fees. Valet parking is available for $36 per day, plus applicable taxes and fees.
Attendees are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of their own ground transportation between the airport and the hotel, or any other trips. Attendees are encouraged to arrange whichever mode of transportation is most convenient for them. We recommend using ride-share apps, like Uber or Lyft, and sharing the ride with a sister (or two, or three!).
Note: National Volunteers not in a CAB role with a chapter will be reimbursed per the National Volunteer Travel & Expense Policy.

For this pilot year, we believe it’s critical that all three attend from each chapter to ensure a consistent knowledge base and shared experience. If your chapter has not traditionally appointed a Director of Social Media & Marketing, we ask that you add this appointed position and bring the new officer to the program. Simply put, we’ve seen how important this role can be in a chapter’s marketing success.
For VP R&M and Director of Social Media and Marketing, the sisters in those exact roles need to attend, as the learnings would be tough to transfer in your one-year terms. For CAB-R&M, work with your CRS to approve any replacements. Please send your questions to opens in a new windowEvents@KappaDelta.orgcreate new email and we’ll get back to you as soon as we can!
Yes! Just make sure to check your chapter budget.
The chapters invited are campuses with recruitments similar in size and scope, so it will provide a great networking opportunity for leaders to connect. Additionally, with this being a pilot program, we’re testing out the model, before considering a wider launch. We’ve invited your chapter to attend this pilot program because we see your potential to continue to enhance the chapter’s recruitment excellence in its Panhellenic community.
The $450 registration fee includes program meals and lodging. (Meals included Friday dinner, as well as Saturday lunch and dinner.) Travel & transportation costs and scheduling will be the responsibility of the chapter. After registration closes, your chapter will be billed registration fees on its chapter statement.
We recommend packing some snacks and small breakfast items along with a refillable water bottle to keep you fed and hydrated during EMPOWER.
