Which KDF Scholarship is Right for You?

Tuition is expensive, and the Kappa Delta Foundation has some incredible scholarship opportunities to help! Last year, the Kappa Delta Foundation awarded a total of $888,192 in scholarships and this year scholarship awards range in size from $1,000-$7,000 and can help make paying for school less stressful!

It may feel a little daunting – there are four different scholarship types to consider. Check out the options below, and we’ll help you figure out which type of KDF scholarship is right for you! (Hint hint…it may be more than one!) Don’t wait — the Jan. 7 application deadline will be here before you know it.

Undergraduate Merit Scholarships

Will you still be working toward your undergraduate degree during the 2024-2025 academic year? Kappa Delta Foundation undergraduate merit scholarships support students who have achieved academic success and are involved on campus or in their KD chapter. There are more than 100 merit scholarships up for grabs this year!

There are scholarships for members from specific chapters (36, to be exact!); for members pursuing degrees in specific subjects like nursing, education, STEM, social work, communications, accounting, and business; and also for students who live or study in specific states, like Florida, Illinois, Georgia, Kentucky, California, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington and South Carolina.

If you complete this application, you will automatically be considered for any merit-based scholarships for which you qualify. However, if you want to also be considered for a need-based scholarship, you must fill out a need-based scholarship application (read on!).

Undergraduate Need-Based Scholarships

Will you still be working toward your undergraduate degree during the 2024-2025 academic year? Kappa Delta Foundation undergraduate need-based scholarships support students in need of financial assistance. There are more than 180 available!

Applicants who apply for a need-based scholarship should be those struggling financially. You’ll be asked to share projected expenses and funding sources for the 2024-2025 academic year, as well as family or personal circumstances that affect your financial resources for the coming academic year.

Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Awards

In the 2024-2025 academic year will you be an upperclassman who has held one or more KD and campus leadership roles? This award may be for you, and there are more than 20 available.

The Corre Anding Stegall Collegiate Leadership Award, named for former National President Corre Anding Stegall, is presented each year to the top Kappa Delta student leaders. Recipients are chosen based on high academic performance and exemplary leadership within the chapter, campus and community. This award is the highest individual honor Kappa Delta gives to undergraduate members. Each award recipient will receive a $3,000 leadership scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year.

When you complete this application, you’ll need a recommendation letter submitted no later than Jan. 14, so think about who that might be!
