Because of generous donors like you, Kappa Delta’s Leadership Development Consultants are growing into even stronger leaders, mentors and role models for our collegiate members. Since 2023, has invested in a leadership coaching and professional development program that equips these young women with the confidence and skills to make an even greater impact. To date, 32 leadership consultants have completed the program across three academic years.
The program was designed to strengthen leadership effectiveness, communication skills, self-awareness, feedback delivery and professional readiness among LDCs, who collectively complete approximately 140 chapter visits annually and support 168 chapters, reaching all 25,000 collegians per year and more than 1,500 local volunteers. Through sequenced coaching sessions with one of the most dynamic and celebrated career coaches, Lindsay Boccardo, LDCs receive personalized support designed to strengthen both their immediate effectiveness in working with collegiate members and volunteers and their long-term professional success.

Lindsay Boccardo
One LDC shared, “I have never heard of anyone else getting a career coach so young or so early in their career. [Lindsay] can be a career advisor, a counselor and a consultant based on my needs.”
The 2025-2026 LDCs just completed their year on the road with Lindsay’s coaching supporting them every step of the way. Across all nine leadership competencies assessed, the LDCs reported improvement from a 3.73 to a 4.30 on a five-point scale, representing meaningful growth across the program year. Notably, the competencies participants rated lowest at the beginning of the year showed the greatest growth by year-end.
The most significant gains occurred in communication, feedback and influence skills:
One LDC shared, “I learned a lot about how attitude, phrasing and the way you present yourself can completely shift a conversation.” Another said, “[Lindsay] helped me feel much more confident going into intimidating conversations.”

These results affirm the foundation’s long-term strategy of investing in leadership development that produces measurable and lasting impact, funded because of your support.
Now, a new group of LDCs has been selected and is preparing to begin their journey and make a similar impact across the country. They just spent time at Kappa Delta Sorority National Headquarters participating in training on facilitation with leadership speaker Erin Fischer and executive coach Dr. Michael McRee to support their success on the road.

2026-2027 LDCs
During the training, the LDCs learned practical strategies to build community and lead with confidence. They spent time rehearsing the skills they had learned and walked out with clear action plans for how to handle different scenarios. This dynamic training will enable and empower the LDCs to facilitate compelling leadership, sisterhood, recruitment and marketing workshops with chapters.
The post-training survey results say it best — 100% of the LDCs:

Because of your support, the LDCs will be able to help each chapter be the best they can be. As one LDC shared, “[Facilitation training] has completely changes my experience facilitating and will allow me to cultivate trust and interest with collegians across the country.”
