Jada Howard (Eta Kappa-Northeastern)

“As a woman of color I was nervous about finding a space in college in which I was appreciated, heard, seen and most importantly loved,” explained Jada Howard. Jada met Rachel, Lindsey and Victoria when they all joined Kappa Delta and thier friendship has only strengthened over the years. Jada says they have taught her the meaning of true friendship.

Lindsay Ratcliffe (Sigma Pi-Albion)

“I am SO glad I joined Kappa Delta, because if I hadn’t, I probably would have never met Allison.” Lindsay joined her chapter this past spring and to meet some of her sisters, she invited them to lunch or dinner on campus – this is how she met Allison. Lindsay says that Allison was one of the first true connections she had made in the chapter. Allison made her feel truly welcomed and cared for. Allison even made Lindsay KD shirts to make sure she had letters that fit her. Allison made sure Lindsay knew she truly belonged in KD.

Kristin Erikson Cherry (Beta Mu-Bowling Green State)

Kristin met her friend Angie Purmort (Beta Mu-Bowling Green State) at an Indianapolis Evening, Indiana Alumnae Chapter event and realized they lived around the corner from each other and were both KDs at Bowling Green State but had never met. They’ve been close friends ever since. Kristin says that Angie is a wonderful person and she even got up at 4:30 a.m. to help pick up two Great Danes that Kristin was rescuing from Tennessee.

Brenna Large (Zeta Kappa-Ball State)

Brenna said she’s met all of her closest friends through Kappa Delta and found her home in our sisterhood. Shortly into Brenna’s freshman year, she met Monet Lindstrand (Zeta Kappa-Ball State) and she says Monet quickly became an inspiration and role model for her. When Brenna ran home to Kappa Delta, she was so excited to finally become Monet’s sister. “She was everything wonderful a KD woman should be, and everything I wanted to become,” said Brenna.
