MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Kappa Delta Foundation invites all Kappa Deltas, families and friends to “Give Confidently” and donate to the foundation on Giving Tuesday, Nov. 30, 2021.

Giving Tuesday kicks off the season of giving. Funds raised will allow the foundation to continue to offer opportunities and experiences that build confidence in women and inspire them to action.

On this special day of giving, donors decide whether their gift supports the KD Forever Fund or the scholarship fund.

Gifts to the KD Forever Fund are unrestricted, allowing the foundation to use a donor’s gift where it’s most needed. These gifts offer the foundation the necessary flexibility to respond to the urgent needs of members and make an immediate impact. KD Forever Fund gifts strengthen the foundation’s scholarship, leadership training and philanthropic programs while providing ongoing operational support.

Gifts to the scholarship fund make it possible for the Kappa Delta Foundation to award more undergraduate and graduate scholarships and support the Imagine Her Future campaign goal. In June 2021, the Foundation announced the launch of the “Imagine Her Future” scholarship campaign for KD women.

“Our goal this Giving Tuesday is to raise $50,000 to help meet the immediate needs of our members,” said Beth Langford, Kappa Delta Foundation Chair. “When sisters ask for our help, we want to be there to support them. When you donate on Giving Tuesday, you can ‘Give Confidently’ and know you are ensuring the sorority experience is valuable, relevant and provides additional needed support.”

Giving Tuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eight years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.
