Kappa Delta Foundation Offers Need-Based Scholarship for Every Chapter

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The Kappa Delta Foundation board of directors approved more than $350,000 in need-based scholarship funding for the 2021-2022 academic year. One $2,100 scholarship will be available for a member of each of Kappa Delta’s 167 chapters. These scholarships reinforce Kappa Delta’s commitment to equity by making tuition more affordable for undergraduate Kappa Delta members.

“Our board is proud to offer additional support to our collegiate sisters with unmet financial need,” said Beth Martin Langford, Foundation board chair. “The 2020-2021 foundation scholarship applicants, on average, had a $7,000 gap in what they would be able to earn or borrow compared with their tuition and living expenses. These need-based scholarships will be critical to ensuring they can not only pay for school, but also have the freedom to remain active and engaged members of Kappa Delta.”

Applications for all foundation scholarships are available now by visiting http://kappadelta.org/opportunities/scholarships/. Any Kappa Delta member may apply for a scholarship even if she has received one in previous years; however, no more than two scholarships may be awarded to a member during her lifetime. Applicants will be considered for any scholarships for which they qualify.
