Kappa Delta Foundation Selects 2024 Internship and UIFI Participants

Memphis, Tenn. (May 1, 2024) – The Kappa Delta Foundation announced the selection of ten Kappa Delta collegians to participate in internships and leadership experiences.

In honor of one of Kappa Delta’s most notable alumnae, the foundation provided funds for two collegiate sisters to serve as 2024 summer interns for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum’s Art and Leadership Program in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The interns were trained to work with at-risk youth, providing them with opportunities for independent thinking, skill building, problem-solving and artistic development.

The O’Keeffe Art and Leadership interns are:

  • Caitlin Hoilman, Delta Pi-Middle Tennessee State
  • Rowan MacLean, Eta Xi-Dartmouth

In addition, the foundation provides funds for four Kappa Delta collegians to intern at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in Memphis, Tennessee. With direction from acclaimed orthopaedic researchers, interns will work on a research project, participate in research data conferences, attend training conferences, and participate in a journal club.

The orthopaedic research interns are:

  • Vanessa Hack, Beta Nu-Toledo
  • Victoria Hennick, Theta Epsilon-West Florida
  • Taylor Pikhart, Alpha Iota-California/Los Angeles
  • Mikaela Snider, Zeta Alpha-Texas Tech

The foundation also funded the registration for four Kappa Delta collegians to attend the Undergraduate Interfraternity Institute (UIFI), hosted by the Association of Fraternal Leadership & Values (AFLV). This annual multi-day institute brings together fraternity and sorority members nationwide to create opportunities to explore their leadership skills, personal awareness, and commitment to their organizations.

UIFI participants include:

  • Emma Hibbits, Iota-Centre
  • Aliya Lewis, Delta Tau-Morehead State
  • Alyssa Livesay, Gamma Delta-East Tennessee State
  • Aaliyah Mathews, Delta Beta-Eastern Illinois
