  • Who attends convention?
  • Who attends convention? Everyone!

Any Kappa Delta sister is invited to attend! From collegiate members to national volunteers, sisters from all over the country will come together to learn, grow, network and shape the future of Kappa Delta for the next biennium.

  • What's a delegate?
  • What’s a delegate?

That’s a great question! A delegate is someone a collegiate and alumnae chapters send on behalf of their local chapter to vote on important matters brought to convention business meetings. Some of the items a delegate gets to vote on are amendments to the Bylaws and electing members to National Council.

Usually the delegate includes the chapter president, but it can be any member that the chapter chooses to send! Each collegiate chapter is required to send a delegate to convention.

For the 2025 Convention, KD is offering two new training academies!

    Recruitment & Marketing

KD is offering a new Recruitment & Marketing training academy for non-delegate attendees. In addition to the required delegate, we encourage chapters to plan to send the 2024-2025 VP-R&M (and CAB-R&M, if possible) to take part in this valuable programming. We’ll cover topics including membership selection, year-round and recruitment-focused marketing, Confident Open Bidding (COB), and much more! Sessions will be applicable for both fall- and spring-recruiting chapters, and this programming will occur during Business Meetings, providing educational opportunities for those who are not collegiate or alumnae chapter delegates.

    Housing training academy

KD wants to give local housing volunteers the opportunity to advance their knowledge and skills. Programming topics will include budgeting, fundraising, filling to capacity, housing exemptions, governance, and much more! Track sessions will occur during Business Meetings, providing educational opportunities for those who are not collegiate or alumnae chapter delegates.
