MEMPHIS, TENNESSEE – On June 29, at its 62nd Biennial National Convention in Phoenix, Kappa Delta Sorority elected the following women who will lead the organization as members of the 2017-2019 National Council: National President Tricia Ruma Spence, National Vice President Susan Stockton, National Vice President-Membership Karen Thomas Fesmire, National Vice President-Collegians Barb Hamilton Stacy, National Vice President-Alumnae Tove Bichel Thomas and National Vice President-Finance Jodi Scheurenbrand. They will serve along with ex officio council members Julie Landgren Johnson, National Panhellenic Conference delegate, and Pamela Nix, Kappa Delta Sorority and Foundation executive director.
The supreme governing body of Kappa Delta, which includes all National Leadership Team members and delegates from collegiate and alumnae chapters, elects the National Council every two years at the sorority’s National Convention. The first National Council served from 1900 to 1904.

Kappa Delta Sorority is a national organization for women with more than 250,000 members, 164 active collegiate chapters and more than 500 chartered alumnae chapters nationwide. In 2009, the sorority created the Confidence Coalition, an alliance of organizations and companies committed to promoting confidence in girls and women. In 2010, Kappa Delta established International Girls Day to empower girls to reach their potential. It also created International Women’s Friendship Month for women everywhere.
