MEMPHIS, Tennessee – The Kappa Delta Foundation is pleased award $38,390 in Confidence U Grants, which provide funding for confidence-building programming on college campuses, and KiDs Grants, which support programs that have a direct positive effect on families and children. These grants will impact an estimated 27,275 individuals between August 2017 and July 2018.
Two universities will receive Confidence U grants, totaling $13,390. Mississippi State University will use the funds to plan “You Go Girl –Women’s Empowerment Week,” a weeklong event that will focus on The Strong Movement, which helps women and girls of all ages build strong bodies and minds through healthy living. The University of North Florida will use the grant to host “Panhellenic Pride Week,” a weeklong series focused on confidence that will empower the Panhellenic community.
Four KiDs Grants, totaling $25,000, will be awarded to Kappa Delta alumnae and alumnae chapters to partner with local non-profit agencies.
