What is Confident Conversations?

Confident Conversations is all about equipping Kappa Delta sisters with the tools, insights and inspiration to succeed personally and professionally. Our next program is Tuesday, Jan. at 7 p.m. CT where former Miss Kentucky and sorority alumna Maria Maldonado-Smith will share how we can “Leverage Your Sorority Membership: From College to Career.” She’ll leave you with expert tips on marketing your Kappa Delta experience and strategies to build your personal brand with confidence. It’s more than just a workshop! It’s a way to celebrate the power of Kappa Delta sisterhood while gaining skills that will shine on your LinkedIn profile, in interviews and beyond! 

Whether you’re just starting your journey or looking to elevate your career, this session provides practical advice and empowering stories to help you embrace your potential. By hosting a follow-up sisterhood event, you can keep the momentum going and put these ideas into action.

Sisterhood Event Ideas

We encourage you to gather your sisters together, or your whole collegiate or alumnae chapter for the session. After you watch the session, try out one of these five ideas to debrief and have fun, while boosting your professional profiles!

  1. Headshot Booth

A professional headshot can make all the difference in your personal brand. Set up a mini photo booth for members to take polished, professional photos. You can offer styling tips to ensure everyone feels confident and camera-ready.

Supplies Needed:

  • Neutral backdrop
  • Lighting equipment
  • Camera or high-quality smartphone

How It Works: After watching the Confident Conversations session, members can line up to get their headshot taken. Encourage them to use their new photos on LinkedIn or professional applications.

  1. Make Career Vision Boards

Tap into your members’ creativity by designing career-focused vision boards. This activity is a way for sisters to visualize their goals and aspirations.

Supplies Needed:

  • Magazines
  • Scissors
  • Glue sticks
  • Poster boards

How It Works: After watching the session, members can get together to create a visual representation of their professional dreams. Share the finished boards on social media or display them in your chapter house for ongoing motivation.

  1. LinkedIn Glow-Up Challenge

Help your sisters put their best foot forward online with a LinkedIn glow-up challenge. It’s an interactive way to ensure everyone’s profile is professional and impactful.

  • Communal space with Wi-Fi
  • Templates for professional summaries
  • A fun prize for the best glow-up!

How It Works: During or after the session, host a contest where members update their LinkedIn profiles. Offer support with templates and ideas for crafting professional summaries.
