And So the (Summer) Adventures Begin

post-default

Now that Memorial Day is in the rearview mirror, it’s officially summertime!  Whether you’re planning to see your family more, take advantage of extra work hours or just spend more time in the sunshine, we all get to enjoy life at a different pace for the next few months. How do you plan to make the most of your summer? We’ve got a few ideas!

Get outside. The summer months give us more sunshine than the rest of the year, and we could all use the extra Vitamin D. Take advantage of brighter mornings and longer evenings by exploring the outdoors. Take walks around your neighborhood, head to the dog park or find a new place to go hiking.

Learn something new!  When was the last time you learned something new? Take time this summer to learn a new language, read up on a different part of the world or listen to a new podcast. And, who says you can’t multi-task while laying out at the pool?

Speaking of laying out, be safe. More summer adventures can mean an increased need for safety precautions. Don’t let an injury rain on your summer parade! Wear sunscreen. Travel in pairs. Double-check that any equipment you’re using is working properly. Drink plenty of water. Check out more safety tips here from the American Red Cross.

Travel together. Our best memories are the ones we share with others. Use this summer to travel somewhere new with your BFFs! Explore a new city, new beach, new restaurant or different part of town. A change of scenery can wake your brain up and inspire you to take on the fall with a fresh perspective.

Explore your hobbies. How often do you wish you had more time to read, play the guitar, write a new blog post, ride bikes, try new recipes or just have a girls’ night? Now is the time! Carve out some “you time” this summer to do the things you love the most.
