Lois Fryer Sorenson and Bernice Hyer McCowin grew up in the picturesque valley that is home to the city of Logan, Utah, and Utah State University. The surrounding mountains could not shield them from the sacrifices Americans made during World War II, but when the war ended, they found their lives were full of new experiences and the richness of friendship. Kappa Delta provided joy that would last for a lifetime.
