The Kappa Delta Foundation awarded $25,000 in KiDs Grants to support projects that improve the lives of children and families in need. These grants empower alumnae members and chapters to partner with local nonprofit organizations to deliver impactful, prevention-focused programs — from providing basic necessities to enhancing educational opportunities and access to critical services. Applicants are encouraged to work with collegiate chapters, alumnae chapters or other sisters to extend the reach and effectiveness of their efforts. 

“The Kappa Delta Foundation is honored to support this year’s KiDs Grant recipients and the meaningful work they are leading in their communities,” says Kappa Delta Foundation board chair Michelle Rabideau. “These projects meet children and families where they are, providing resources, opportunities and support that can make a lasting difference. We’re proud to invest in our alumnae and the local organizations they partner with to create brighter futures and help children build confidence.” 

The 2026-2027 KiDs Grant recipients and their projects are: 

• Stephanie Record, Sigma Omicron-Illinois, on behalf of Crisis Nursery, to underwrite 30 Holiday Shop vouchers, giving children whose families are experiencing financial hardship the opportunity to choose, purchase and wrap holiday gifts for their loved ones free of charge. 

• Greater Atlanta Day Alumnae Chapter on behalf of Wellspring Living to support the expansion of social-emotional learning at their Receiving Hope Center by funding curriculum modules and classroom supplies. 

• Knoxville, Tennessee, Alumnae Chapter on behalf of Knoxville Family Justice Center to support the expansion of One Safe Place, a comprehensive recovery and advocacy center that will provide domestic violence survivors and their families with accessible, long-term support services. 

• New Orleans Alumnae Chapter on behalf of Girl Scouts Louisiana East to support a leadership and mentoring program that combines a workshop, ongoing mentor engagement and guided activities to build leadership skills and expand career exposure. 

• Orlando, Florida, Alumnae Chapter on behalf of ESTHER Single Mothers Outreach to support the Undie Station Project, providing children with a week’s worth of new underwear and socks.

• Richardson/Plano, Texas, Alumnae Chapter on behalf of Family Compass to provide diaper and toddler bags filled with outfits, burp cloths, bibs, sippy cups, pacifiers, board or cloth books, a first aid kit, a portable phone charger and grocery gift cards.
