Kappa Delta Governance

Each biennium,

Kappa Delta amends its bylaws and elects a new National Council each biennium at its National Convention. This is an important time for all Kappa Deltas, which is why delegates from our collegiate and alumnae chapters attend National Convention to vote on these proposed changes and leaders.

Kappa Delta’s 66th National Convention is coming up on June 20-23, 2025, and will take place at the opens in a new windowGaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.

Check out the information below to learn more about the bylaws and election process!

National Elections

Kappa Delta is what it is today because of the exceptional women who have led our great organization for more than 125 years. Their selfless dedication, vision, wisdom and courage have allowed our sorority to flourish. At the 2025 National Convention, delegates will elect the National Council officers who will lead us into the next biennium.

By May 1, 2025, ahead of Kappa Delta’s 66th Biennial National Convention taking place June 20-23, 2025, Kappa Delta’s Nominating Committee will present the slate of candidates for delegates to vote on in person at Convention.

National Bylaws

Our National Bylaws are a key governance document of the sorority. They establish the structure of the organization. Supported by legal counsel, a professional parliamentarian and the National Council, each biennium a National Bylaws Committee is appointed to examine the Bylaws for compliance to current Kappa Delta operations and best practices for member associations.

The committee is dedicated to ensuring that the National Bylaws serve the organization and its members for the foreseeable future and will share the proposed amendments to the National Bylaws for consideration at Kappa Delta’s 66th Biennial taking place in 2025 ahead of convention for delegates to review. Collegiate and alumnae chapter delegates and National Leadership Team volunteers will cast their votes to amend the National Bylaws in person at convention.
