This summer, we will welcome over 900 Kappa Deltas at the breathtaking Arizona Biltmore in Phoenix for Kappa Delta’s 62nd Biennial National Convention. It will be an EXPERIENCE you’ll never forget.
National Conventions are designed to carry out sorority business, but they are also a time for reunions, celebrating achievements, inspiration and learning. This year, our programming will feature three dynamic, captivating and enlightening speakers. Whether you’re a collegian or alumna, you will leave inspired to take action personally and in your community.
The first general session will feature a panel of four outstanding Kappa Delta entrepreneurs who will share their tips and tricks for success. Hear from Kerrie Hileman, owner of the White Magnolia Bridal Collection, a bridal boutique in four locations across three states. Be inspired by Nicki Klein, the winner of Launch Festival 2016 and founder of Betagig, the world’s first and only digital platform to streamline job shadowing. Get the inside scoop from former NCIS agent Heather Ryan, founder of Safe in the City. And hear the story of Dana Spinola, creator of fab’rik, a leading fashion franchise with 40 locations nationwide, and her nonprofit organization that provides free shopping sprees for girls. Facilitated by NPC Delegate Alternate Corre Anding Stegall, the panelists will inspire women of all ages to dream big. The audience will have time to ask questions and receive candid advice from the panelists.
A member of Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity and CAMPUSPEAK favorite, Justin Jones-Fosu will kick off Saturday with high energy and an important message. His presentation will focus on the simple core of diversity — authentic listening, being open and respecting others even when we don’t agree — while honoring the complexity of today’s conversation. With college campuses seeing a more diverse population of students, Kappa Delta is reflecting that positive change, too. You won’t want to miss this compelling keynote. As Justin says, “Get ready to hug an elephant and kiss a giraffe!”
To end the conference, attendees will be a part of a powerful message given by Lisa Nichols, Founder and CEO of Motivating the Masses, Inc. Lisa uses her testimony of being a struggling single mom on public assistance to becoming a millionaire entrepreneur who inspires people worldwide and helps countless audiences break through to discover their own untapped talents and infinite potential. She will remind you that anything is possible with a bit of grit, self-love and an abundant desire for more!
Attendees will leave convention full of KD spirit and the knowledge, skills and determination to build confidence and inspire action!
