Tour the Future Home of KD at Michigan

This former church, built in the late 1800s, is the future home of Kappa Delta at the University of Michigan! The beautiful facility is centrally located on campus, making it a great meeting place for members. The chapter will be able to hold recruitment activities, chapter meetings, sisterhood activities and other gatherings at the house. It will sleep 44 women and includes a commercial kitchen, which will serve women who live in the house as well as other members.

The Main Room

This was quite the undertaking to decorate and transform into a functioning room, purely because of its size! The natural lighting and architecture made this an exciting project. With newly refinished floors, this room will now offer three sitting areas and two study spaces. After these pictures were taken, an additional table and chairs were added to offer even more study space.

The Main Room Study Area

Right off the main room, this study area is another great meeting space. The designer found Nautilus shell-shaped stair prints and displayed them here and throughout the house.

The Library

This room has undergone quite the transformation and will be the perfect meeting room for our new chapter. Whether it is council, CAB or small group meetings, this will be a great place to get some work done. This room also includes five wing-back chairs under the windows for extra seating.

The Hangout Room

I am not sure this room could get any better! It is the ultimate place for chapter members to hangout, watch TV and get to know each other. It is fun, trendy and has tons of seating.

We look forward to welcoming members of our Sigma Zeta Chapter when we re-establish the chapter this fall. They are sure to make many great memories in this beautiful home!
