Dedicated alumnae advisors are essential to a chapter’s success. By joining a chapter advisory board (CAB) or house corporation, you can make a difference in the lives of collegiate women and help maintain Kappa Delta’s excellent reputation.
In recognition of Advisor Appreciation Month this April, here are the top five reasons why YOU should volunteer to serve on CAB or house corporation:
- You will play a key role in the success of a chapter. When you become a volunteer for a collegiate chapter, you put your KD values in action and continue the KD legacy. Whether you choose to serve on a CAB and mentor the collegiate leaders or on a house corporation ensuring the chapter has a place to call home, you will help build stronger chapters and a stronger sisterhood.
- You will build close relationships with other alumnae volunteers. Kappa Delta membership doesn’t end after four years! As an alumna volunteer, you will have the opportunity to meet women of all ages who share your values. Who knows, you may even meet a new best friend!
- You will enhance your leadership skills. By volunteering, you will develop professional skills that will help you get ahead in your career. You will become a better leader and communicator and make a difference in the community. You can even add this volunteer experience to your resume!
