One of the favorite features of this newsletter is success stories where we share ideas that worked great for house corporations.

Sigma Upsilon.jpg Sigma Upsilon-Indiana House Corporation struggled, like a lot of house corporations, with getting seniors to live in the house. To combat this, the house corporation created a “Senior Wing” described as one floor of the house that was repainted a color that the women chose, got rolling desk chairs, new desks, bunk beds, colorful rugs, and new frosted fluorescent light bulbs. The HC let the women choose all the new furniture so that they were ensured that the seniors would like it and want to live there. They also limited the number of women in those rooms so there would be more room for the seniors. They wanted the women to have ownership of it and be proud of it. It's also a great recruiting point!

If your house corporation enjoyed success in an area and would like to share, please do so!! We all learn great ideas from each other that can be adapted to fit our own situation.
